Nope! Colorado allows self-solemnization, which means that you can legally marry yourselves – no officiant or witnesses required. It’s one of the most romantic and empowering parts of eloping here.

Prefer an officiant? We can arrange one as part of our all-inclusive elopement packages.

A Colorado marriage license costs $30 and can be obtained at any county clerk’s office. There’s no waiting period, and it’s valid statewide. After your ceremony, sign the license and return it per the clerk’s instructions (typically within 63 days). We provide easy step-by-step guidance after booking.

Colorado supports marriage equality. The state recognizes and protects same-sex marriage. Love is love – and we’re honored to celebrate it.

Yes! It’s a Colorado favorite, your dog can witness and “sign” the license with a paw print. (This is legal, and accepted nationwide)
